Brown rice, one of the staples of this blonde’s diet. While seemingly simple to make, brown rice can easily turn mushy from overcooking. Here is a foolproof way to making brown rice in your instant pot.
- 2 cups brown rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
Option: you can replace part or all of the water with chicken stock or add in spices of your choice. I usually make large batches of plain rice and store it in the refrigerator so I can tailor its flavor and spices to different meals.
Add the rice and water to your instant pot, set on high pressure if your instant pot cooks at different pressure levels. Cook for 16 minutes and allow natural pressure release for a maximum of 10 minutes. There you have it, the perfect brown rice!
